Our Golden Hand-scraped Oak Lacquered solid flooring has 125 mm wide boards with a thickness of 18 mm with random length boards. The lengths will be between 300 mm and 1200 mm.
The hand-scraping creates a ripple across the width of the board, so as you look down the length of the plank the full effect becomes visible, this wood has a golden colouring added to this board.
All solid wood floors have to be secured to the sub-floor, they are not to be floated. If you have wooden sub-floors you can secure with either Tongue Tites or use a secret nailer.
On concrete a suitable liquid damp proof membrane should be applied first and then a compatible flexible wood adhesive should be used. This has a tongue and groove fixing system.
This is a natural product with a rustic grading, it will have knots and sapwood and will vary in colour. Protected with a lacquered finish which will give a smooth, shiny appearance.
The sub floor must be flat, dry and free of debris. Manufacturer guidelines need to be followed at all times when installing your new floor. Allow solid wood to acclimatize for a minimum of 7 days prior to installation.
We recommend that customers order a free sample, before purchasing, as photographs can only show a representation of the real product.
